A Brief History
Here's a short history of me. I was born in Yuma, Az. on April 16, 1973. My family moved around alot because my dad was in the military, he flewan A6 Intruder in the Marine Corps. Ended up in Huntsville, AL, which is where I have lived since the fourth grade. Alabama is not too bad, kindof boring sometimes, but all in all a pretty nice place.
Well, after four fun yet grueling years, I graduated from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN with a BS in Engineering Science with a Biomedical concentration. Did pretty well, graduated Summa Cum Laude. A good school, but what I really miss is the mountains.
I obtained my Ph.D. from the Universityof Iowa, in Iowa City, IA. Quite a change from the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, let me tell you. My research entailed building and refining a finite element model for artificial hip dislocations. I'm also performed an experimentalvalidation of said FE model.

The beginning...
I'm basically an outdoors kind of guy, I like Mountain biking, camping, hiking, fishing, etc. The SmokyMountains were great for that kind of thing. It's a little harder tofind that kind of thing here in Memphis, but it's not too bad.
I also like to read alot. Mostly trash novels, by most people's standards,
but I like them. My favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkein. I like fantasy/sci-fi
and horror novels the most. Reality is enough to experience, I don't like to read about it...
My pride and joy (other than my wife of coures... :)) consists of a 1960 reissue Gibson Les Paul Classic
Sunburst electric guitar. It cost me a pretty penny, but it was worth it.
I don't get much time to play, but I still take time when I can find it.
