Ok, here's a picture of my finite element model. It is composed of 8 node hexagonal elements and a rigid body for the femoral component. The white is the Polyethylene plastic insert for the bearing surface. First you see the model in starting position, then the dislocation position. I am using this model to study how acetabular cup parameters affect the dislocation of total hips.
